چکیده
This work analyzes the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)welded joint of AZ31 magnesium alloy and pitting corrosion stress field at different depths under tensile load via ANSYS finite element method. The strengths strain fields inside pit were substantially higher than average strength level matrix. Therefore, influence applied load, will fail first. Based on study corrosion, a model was developed to explain how cracks propagate in welded joints. Finally, variation residual revealed dynamic mechanism

A typical tailor-welded blank (TWB) is composed of several base metals, which might have di!erent mechanical properties as well as thickness. Moreover, a TWB contains a heat-a!ected zone (HAZ) which has quite di!erent mechanical properties from base materials. The forming behaviors of TWBs have been widely studied since they were "rst developed as a way of using collectible o!al. They are often...

This paper deals with Friction stir welding of AZ31B Mg alloy by using H13 Tool at different rotational speeds and welding speeds .Experiments were conducted according to L4 Orthogonal array which was suggested by Taguchi. Optimum parameters for optimum Tensile strength, Hardness and Ductility were found with the help of S/N ratios. Therefore optimization of input process parameter is required ...
متن کاملPitting-induced hydrogen embrittlement of magnesium- aluminium alloy
In this study, the pitting corrosion susceptibility and its role on the hydrogen embrittlement behavior of AZ80 magnesium alloy were studied using slow strain rate testing (SSRT), electrochemical technique and immersion test method. The electrochemical and immersion tests in chloride-containing solution revealed severe pitting corrosion in the alloy. The SSRT results of the alloy under continuo...
